You’re about to register by creating a fundraising page, which is where you’ll record your kilometre or kilogram target (in your blog). Once you’ve finished registering, you can log back in at any time and update your blog so that your sponsors can see how you’re progressing towards your goal.
Before you begin, please acknowledge that you’ve read the following health information.
Those who participate in K’s 4 Life agree to do so at their own risk.
Life Education recommends that you seek medical advice if you are not accustomed to regular exercise or if you have a medical condition.
If your goal is to lose weight, you are advised to set a realistic goal and to maintain a nutritious, balanced diet. Check out the “Eat Smart” guidelines on this website
Life Education does not recommend that you engage in dieting that would reduce your weight below your normal weight range, or that would in any way be detrimental to your health (you can identify your ideal weight by consulting the Body Mass Index in the Eat Smart section of this site).
You agree to indemnify Life Education Queensland for any claim brought against it, its employee’s, agents, sponsors and/or independent contractors by any third party for any loss or damage arising as a result of your participation in K’s 4 Life. This includes, but is not limited to loss or damage caused by breaches of duties that would otherwise be imposed in tort or contract but for this clause.
By ticking the box, you signify that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms
If you’re not sure what target to set yourself, there are some helpful tools below. Otherwise go straight to the next step to create your fundraising page.
Optional Tools to Help You
Google Maps
This is useful if you need help to accurately calculate the distance from one point to the next. Just go to google maps, click on “get directions” and then enter your start and end point.
Queensland Road Distances
This chart enables you to compare your goal with a virtual road trip. For example, a goal of 200 kilometres is roughly the distance from Brisbane to Kingaroy.
Body Mass Index
If you are setting a kilogram goal, you can use the BMI index to help you calculate your ideal goal weight.
