Did you know that:

About 13% of children are living at risk in homes where there is substance abuse or dependence.

Approximately 20 – 25% of Australian children are either overweight or obese

Roughly one-third of teenagers aged 15 and over are binge drinking

The key to reducing chronic disease in the future is to educate today’s children about the importance of making healthy choices. Life Education Queensland is a registered charity, so the money you raise is tax deductible. Unfortunately, we do not receive any Government funding. Despite this, we are the largest Queensland charity in the provision of vital drug and health education programs in schools.

Life Education depends on community support. Your fundraising through K’s 4 Life will help us to reach more children with health and drug education programs, especially to those who need it the most.

Our goal is to reach more than 100,000 children across the State, providing them with the knowledge and the skills to live a life free from the effects of drug and alcohol abuse. Your efforts will also help us to expand our services to the many children who are missing out on this important program, especially those in lower socio economic areas and in regional and remote Queensland.

Through K’s 4 Life, just $150 will help us to reach a classroom of children.

In 2009, Life Education visited almost 400 schools from the Gold Coast to Townsville and west to areas including Blackwater and Emerald.  Find out more about the work of Life Education.
